Monsoon Palace

Monsoon Palace (Sajjangarh Palace) is a stunning hilltop palace at 944 m on the Bansdara mountain above Udaipur, built in 1884 by Maharana Sajjan Singh to observe monsoon clouds. Offering the finest panoramic views of Udaipur's lakes, city, and the distant Aravalli hills, it is one of the most spectacular sunset viewpoints in Rajasthan. Located inside Sajjangarh Wildlife Sanctuary, the drive up through forested hills is scenic. Featured in the James Bond film Octopussy.
