Jagdish Temple

Jagdish Temple

Jagdish Temple is Udaipur's largest and most visited Hindu temple — a magnificent 1651 Indo-Aryan style shrine dedicated to Lord Vishnu (Jagannath), built by Maharana Jagat Singh I. Its elaborately carved exterior features elephants, horses, musicians, and celestial nymphs in intricate stone relief. Located just 150 metres from the City Palace main gate, it is the spiritual heart of Udaipur and a top pilgrimage stop for devotees and heritage architecture enthusiasts visiting Rajasthan.
