Pushkar Lake is one of the holiest lakes in Hinduism — a sacred pushkar (lotus lake) created by a petal dropped by Lord Brahma, surrounded by 52 bathing ghats and 400 temples. A ritual dip in its waters is believed to cleanse sins and grant moksha. The lake's serene atmosphere, ghats reflected in the water, and daily Aarti make it the spiritual core of Pushkar. Non-Hindus are welcome but must remove shoes. A top Rajasthan pilgrimage and photography destination.
