Pillar Rocks

Pillar Rocks is Kodaikanal's most dramatic natural landmark — three massive vertical granite pillars rising 122 metres from the shola forest floor, surrounded by Guna Caves and dense Palani Hills vegetation. Made famous as the filming location for the iconic Tamil film Guna (1991), the rocks are a top Kodaikanal photography and viewpoint destination. The surrounding forest is home to Nilgiri langurs and Malabar giant squirrels. Entry fee applies. Best visited morning before clouds descend.
