Berijam Lake

Berijam Lake is a pristine reservoir 21 km from Kodaikanal inside the Upper Palani Shola Reserve Forest — one of Tamil Nadu's most beautiful forest lakes and a top eco-tourism destination in the Palani Hills. Access is restricted by permit (contact Forest Department). Surrounded by dense shola forest home to gaur, sambar, and Nilgiri langurs, it is Kodaikanal's finest wildlife and nature photography destination. The forest drive through eucalyptus and pine plantations is equally scenic.
