Coaker's Walk is Kodaikanal's most iconic 1 km promenade — a cliff-hugging path at 2,133 m with breathtaking views of the Palani Hills valleys, shola forests, and the plains of Tamil Nadu far below through swirling mist. Built by Lt Coaker in 1872, it is the best place to experience Kodaikanal's famous cloud and mist phenomena. A solar observatory and telescope for viewing the plains are located along the walk. A top Kodaikanal morning photography destination. Entry fee applies.
