Mawphlang Sacred Forest

Mawphlang Sacred Forest (Law Lyngdoh), 25 km from Shillong, is one of the most famous and ecologically significant sacred groves in India — a pristine 100-hectare forest protected by the Khasi community for centuries under customary law.
