Chopta Meadows — called the "Mini Switzerland of Uttarakhand" — are a series of sweeping alpine pastures at 2,700 m along the Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary, with direct views of the Garhwal Himalayan range. The starting point for the Tungnath-Chandrashila Trek, Chopta offers exceptional camping, star-gazing, birdwatching, and snow activities in winter. One of the most scenic and accessible Himalayan meadow destinations in North India, best visited May to June and October to November.
