Vizhinjam Lighthouse

Vizhinjam Lighthouse stands 30 metres tall at the southern end of Kovalam's Lighthouse Beach — an operational lighthouse offering 360-degree panoramic views of Kovalam's three beaches, the Arabian Sea coastline, and the distant Western Ghats. Climbing its 76 steps is the top Kovalam sightseeing activity. The lighthouse is open to public viewing; nominal entry fee applies. One of Kerala's most photographed and iconic coastal landmarks, especially dramatic at sunset and during monsoon swells.
