St. Mary's Island

St Mary's Island is a stunning group of uninhabited islands off Malpe Beach, accessible by 15-minute boat ferry — famous for their extraordinary hexagonal basalt rock formations, created 88 million years ago by volcanic activity when India separated from Madagascar. A UNESCO Geological Heritage Site and one of India's most unique natural wonders. Vasco da Gama landed here in 1498.
