Nehru Trophy Boat Race

The Nehru Trophy Snake Boat Race in Alleppey is India's most spectacular and famous water festival — held annually on the second Saturday of August on Punnamada Lake, featuring massive 30-metre-long chundan vallams (snake boats) rowed by 100+ oarsmen in a frenetic, electrifying race.
