Vaishno Devi Shrine — the most visited pilgrimage site in North India after Tirupati — draws over 8 million devotees annually to the sacred cave at 5,200 ft in the Trikuta Mountains. The 14 km trek from Katra base camp passes through Banganga, Ardhkuwari cave, and Sanji Chhat to the holy Bhavan cave housing the three sacred pindis of Maa Vaishnavi.
