The seven-tiered wooden model of Zangdopelri (the heavenly abode of Guru Rinpoche) inside the monastery is a masterpiece of traditional Sikkimese art.
Visit the monastery at 6 AM for morning prayers — the chanting of monks at dawn with mist-covered peaks in the background is one of the most moving experiences in Sikkim.
