Madhuri Lake (Sangetsar Lake)

Madhuri Lake (Sangestar Tso/Shonga-tser Lake) is a high-altitude glacial lake 35 km from Tawang at 4,200 m — made famous after actress Madhuri Dixit filmed the song "Koyla" on its shores in 1997. Surrounded by snow-capped peaks, weeping willows, and yak herds, it is one of Tawang's most photogenic attractions.
