Kaziranga National Park
A boat ride on the Brahmaputra near Kaziranga offers a completely different perspective — wide open water, river dolphins surfacing near the boat, migratory geese flying overhead, and the park's forested hills in the distance. Some operators also run trips to the mid-river sandbar islands where rare birds nest during winter. It is languid, beautiful, and utterly different from the land-based safari experience.
