Kalimpong
Durpin Dara Hill is Kalimpong's second major viewpoint, home to the famous Cactus Nursery — one of India's largest cactus and succulent collections with over 2,000 varieties. The hilltop also houses a Morgan House (a colonial-era bungalow turned heritage hotel) and the Macfarlane Church, giving the visit a charming blend of botanical wonder and colonial history. The views of the Teesta Valley and surrounding hills from Durpin Dara are genuinely spectacular.
The road to Durpin Dara is steep and narrow — shared taxis are the easiest option and drivers usually wait while you explore.
