Visit Tsomgo (Changu) Lake (37 km from Gangtok; 3,780 m altitude) — a glacial lake that freezes in winter and blooms with rhododendrons in spring, with yaks available for rides along the shore. The lake's colour changes with the seasons — green in summer, blue in autumn, and icy white in winter.
