Droog Fort

Droog Fort is an ancient hilltop fort near Coonoor perched at 2,088 meters, used by Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan to monitor the Nilgiri mountain passes. Reached via a scenic trek through cardamom and coffee estates, the crumbling fort offers commanding panoramic views of the Nilgiri Hills, Mettupalayam plains, and the Catherine Falls valley in Tamil Nadu.
