Coonoor
Lamb's Rock is a jutting clifftop viewpoint above Coonoor that offers arguably the best views of the Nilgiri Hills and the Coimbatore plains far below — a breathtaking panorama that stretches 70 km on a clear day. The short drive and walk to the rock can be extended into a pleasant half-day outing by combining it with a visit to the nearby Law's Falls, a 180-foot cascade that thunders through thick jungle.
Early morning visits to Lamb's Rock before 8 AM offer the clearest views before mist rolls in from the valley. Sunrise from the rock is extraordinary.
