Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary

Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary is a dry deciduous forest reserve on the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border near Munnar, uniquely positioned in the rain shadow zone of the Western Ghats. Home to the endangered grizzled giant squirrel, giant Indian tiger, leopard, and 245 bird species, Chinnar offers exceptional wildlife safaris, trekking trails, and tribal cultural experiences rarely found elsewhere in Kerala.
