Bandhavgarh Fort is a 2,000-year-old ancient fort perched 807 m above sea level at the heart of the tiger reserve — named for the legend that Lord Rama gifted it to his brother Lakshmana after the battle of Lanka. Accessible via a forest trek from the Tala Zone, it houses ancient cave inscriptions, Vishnu temples, and panoramic views of the tiger-filled jungle below. One of the most dramatic and historically significant forts in Madhya Pradesh.
